LAPPs is an independant Radio Control Power Boat club located in the Columbia/Lexington, SC area. For 2006 we have joined the Charleston Model Boaters and will be running in the monthly club series at their facility in Walterboro as a combined effort. The one day club race series will make it easier for guys that would like to race but don't want to spend a weekend out of town at a district race. Classes will most likely be 20 tunnel, mono and hydro and Open tunnel, mono and hydro. There may be season series awards at the end of the year if there is enough participation. You will need to be and IMPBA member to race and I recommend joining the CMB also if you are planning to run the season series. Information on the series and the schedule are available on the CMB site. The first race will be April 9. The Walterboro lake is only 70 minutes from our lake and the combined effort should produce a well attended monthly series. We will still be fun running and testing at our lake in West Columbia.
